Hello… thanks for visiting ☺︎ I’m an artist from Mudgee, in central west NSW, Wiradjuri Country. My work is inspired by the beauty I find all around me, particularly in our unique Australian environment.

My artworks are layered, semi-abstract portrayals of places and moments that have resonated with me. They are painted intuitively, often taking on a life of their own as I focus on my feelings, senses and memories of a time and place.

Sometimes I get so used to having a painting around I forget to look at it properly. I’ve been having a bit of a rearrange in the last few days, and I put this one back up on the wall. I love the paired back subject matter - it’s so calmi
• woke up feeling ordinary • thought I wouldn’t be productive • turned out I did lots • little works coming together • lots of lovely colours • watched a good doco on Avicii (high and lows of a creative genius)
Feeling a bit better now… ➿Six little works in progress ➿building lots of texture ➿ruining many brushes ➿can’t keep a tidy palette ➿ some much needed garden therapy
A fence? Yes, there is a structure in my painting!… a little different… but I quite liked it’s stripiness 😆 I’m feeling tired, a bit overwhelmed perhaps… and as a result the main thing I want to do is go in the gard
I decided I needed to change up my studio music and I let YouTube music pick a pop playlist for me - eek, maybe the age is starting to show, some I can cope with, some not so much. This Chappell Roan tune reminds me of Kate Bush… getting Wuth
