Rachel Melchers
Hello… thanks for visiting ☺︎ I’m an artist from Mudgee, in central west NSW, Wiradjuri Country. My work is inspired by the beauty I find all around me, particularly in our unique Australian environment. I paint both landscapes and still life studies in a variety of materials.
My landscapes are layered, semi-abstract portrayals of places I have visited and that have resonated with me. They are painted intuitively, often taking on a life of their own as I focus on my feelings, senses and memories of a time and place.
My still life are contemplative studies of plant forms and vessels, which tend to a meditative, quiet air.
